David C. Bazett, CLS, BCLS

Dave was commissioned as a British Columbia Land Surveyor in 1979 and as a Canada Lands Surveyor in 1992. In addition to traditional legal survey work he has headed up contracts for the Province's TRIM mapping project involving GPS control surveys, targeting and cadastral ties.

Dave owns and operates a float equipped aircraft for transportation to remote projects throughout BC. He has modified the aircraft to mount a medium format camera and has acquired thousands of aerial photographs for a wide range of applications including inventory, mapping and as a supplement to traditional methods of measurement. Dave is a member of the Canadian Institute of Geomatics and was elected to the Board of Management of the Association of BC Land Surveyors, serving as President in 2004. He actively contributes to government liaison and stakeholder initiatives on behalf of the Association.
